By improving tissue health, movement often becomes easier and less painful.
Class IV Laser Treatments

Reduce Pain. Accelerate Healing. Restore Movement.
Class IV laser therapy is an advanced treatment designed to reduce pain, improve circulation, and support tissue healing at a deeper level. It uses focused light energy to stimulate cellular activity in muscles, joints, and soft tissue affected by injury or chronic stress.
This therapy is often used when pain persists, healing feels slow, or inflammation continues to interfere with movement. The goal is to help the body recover more efficiently so function improves and discomfort fades.
How Class IV Laser Therapy Works
Class IV laser therapy delivers high intensity light energy into targeted tissue. This light penetrates deeper than lower powered lasers and interacts with cells at the mitochondrial level.
The process helps increase cellular energy production, improve blood flow, and reduce inflammation. As circulation improves, oxygen and nutrients reach damaged tissue more efficiently, supporting faster repair.
Treatment is focused, controlled, and guided by assessment rather than applied broadly.

Why Deeper Healing Matters
Many conditions fail to improve because healing does not fully occur at the tissue level. Reduced circulation, repeated stress, or unresolved inflammation can slow recovery and lead to recurring pain.
Class IV laser therapy helps address these challenges by:
- Increasing blood flow to injured tissue
- Reducing inflammation and swelling
- Supporting tissue regeneration
- Improving nerve sensitivity and comfort
- Enhancing overall healing response
Conditions Commonly Treated With Class IV Laser
Class IV laser therapy is used for a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. It is especially helpful for both acute injuries and long standing pain.
Common uses include:
- Neck and back pain
- Shoulder and rotator cuff issues
- Hip and knee discomfort
- Tendon and ligament injuries
- Arthritis related pain
- Soft tissue inflammation
Each treatment plan is tailored based on the condition, location, and response to care.

SIGNS CHIROPRACTIC CARE CAN HELP
Back pain is more than just an annoyance. Left untreated, it can get worse and limit your quality of life. If you experience these symptoms, it is time to take action.

Persistent Back Pain
Ongoing discomfort that limits sitting, standing, or daily function.

Frequent Headaches
Tension and misalignment can contribute to recurring headaches or migraines.

Limited Mobility
Trouble bending, twisting, or reaching comfortably.

Postural Fatigue
Discomfort from long hours at a desk or on your feet.

A Non-Invasive Option for Pain Relief
One of the biggest advantages of Class IV laser therapy is that it is non-invasive and drug free. Treatments do not involve injections or incisions and require no recovery time.
Sessions are typically short and well tolerated. Many patients return to daily activities immediately after treatment.
This makes laser therapy an effective option for those seeking relief without disrupting work, training, or daily routines.
What Makes Class IV Laser Different
Class IV lasers operate at a higher power than standard therapeutic lasers. This allows light to reach deeper tissue layers where pain and dysfunction often originate.
Treatment parameters are adjusted based on tissue depth and sensitivity. This ensures effective stimulation without unnecessary discomfort.
Precision application helps maximize results while keeping sessions efficient.

Class IV Laser as Part of Integrated Care
Laser therapy works best when combined with movement based care. While it helps improve tissue health, lasting improvement depends on how the body moves and adapts afterward.
At Rehab Lab Wisconsin, Class IV laser therapy is often paired with:
- Chiropractic care
- Corrective exercises
- Graston Technique
- Dry needling
- Blood flow restriction training
This integrated approach supports both healing and functional improvement
When Class IV Laser Therapy May Help
Laser therapy may be recommended if you experience:
- Persistent pain that limits activity
- Inflammation that does not fully resolve
- Slow healing after injury
- Sensitivity in joints or soft tissue
- Discomfort that returns with movement
Early use can help reduce recovery time and prevent chronic issues from developing.
