Kinesiology and Rock Tape is a stretchy therapeutic tape we apply to support a muscle or joint without locking it down. It gives you feedback and light support so you can stay active and confident while an area heals, rather than fully resting it.
We use taping as a bridge, it buys you comfortable movement between visits while the real work, the hands-on treatment and rehab, does the fixing.
What taping does and does not do
Done well, taping can reduce the pull on an irritated tissue, give a joint a sense of support, and cue better posture or movement through the day. It is a helpful assist, especially around training or a busy week.
What it is not is a cure on its own. If anyone treats tape as the whole plan, that is a red flag. For us it is one tool inside a plan that actually addresses why the area got hurt.
Common uses
- Support for a shoulder or knee during activity
- Postural cueing for the neck and upper back
- Calming an irritated tendon between rehab sessions
- Confidence to stay active while returning from a sports injury
