Low Back Pain Program at Rehab Lab

The Low Back Pain Program is our step-by-step path for people who are tired of their back flaring up again and again. It combines the hands-on care that gets you out of pain with the progressive strength and movement work that keeps it from coming back, organized into a clear plan with real milestones.

Instead of an open-ended string of appointments, you get a defined program: relieve the pain, rebuild the foundation, and graduate to maintaining it yourself.

What the program includes

We start by settling your pain and restoring motion with adjustments, soft-tissue work, and modalities as needed. As the pain eases, the focus shifts to rebuilding the core, hips, and movement patterns that protect your low back.

Every phase has clear goals so you always know where you are and what comes next. The endpoint is a strong, reliable back and the knowledge to keep it that way, not a permanent spot on our schedule.

Who it is for

  • Recurring low back pain that keeps coming back after short-term fixes
  • Desk workers whose backs flare from sitting and lifting
  • Anyone who wants a clear plan with an actual finish line
  • People ready to do the rehab work, not just get adjusted

Low Back Pain Program questions

How is this different from just getting adjusted?

Adjustments handle today’s pain. This program adds the structured rebuild, core and hip strength, better movement, that addresses why your back keeps failing, so the relief actually holds.

Can I do part of this from home?

Yes. The exercise side is built to run largely at home, and we also offer a fully remote Online Low Back Program if in-person visits are hard to fit in.

Who is this program for, and who is it not for?

It suits mechanical low back pain: the recurring, movement-related, stiff-in-the-morning kind. It is not the right starting point for severe or progressive nerve symptoms, suspected fracture, or any red flag, and the assessment exists to catch those and route you appropriately instead.

How long is the program?

The structured block runs several weeks, with the hands-on frequency front-loaded and the loading progressing as you improve. The exact length depends on your starting point, and milestones are set at the first visit so you can see whether you are on track rather than just attending.

What happens after the program ends?

You get a maintenance plan you can run yourself, and you are discharged. That is the point. If you want a periodic check we are happy to do it, but the program is designed to end with you independent, not to hand you into an indefinite schedule.

Will I be given generic back exercises?

No. The program is built from your assessment, so the movements target the specific restriction and the specific weakness we measured. Two people with identical pain frequently get different programs, because the cause is different.

What if my pain flares during the program?

It happens and it is planned for. A flare is not lost progress; it usually means the load outran your current tolerance, and we adjust the dose. Knowing that in advance is part of why a supervised program works better than following a video.
