Car Accident Injury at Rehab Lab

After a car accident, the pain often does not hit until the next day or two, once the adrenaline wears off. Whiplash and collision injuries strain the joints, muscles, and ligaments of the neck and back in ways that can linger for months if they are not treated properly early.

We assess the full extent of your injuries, treat them with hands-on care and the right modalities, and rehab you back to full function, so you recover completely instead of carrying a stiff neck and headaches for years.

Why early, complete care matters

Whiplash is not just sore muscles. The rapid back-and-forth strains the small joints and soft tissues of the neck, and if they heal stiff and guarded, you can be left with chronic neck pain, headaches, and reduced motion. Toughing it out often leads to a problem that sticks around.

We restore motion to the injured joints, calm the guarded muscles with soft-tissue work and laser, and rebuild strength and mobility so the injury heals well, not just enough to get by.

How we help after an accident

  • A thorough exam of the neck, back, and any other injured areas
  • Hands-on care to restore motion and calm guarded muscles
  • Class IV laser to settle inflammation and speed healing
  • Progressive rehab to rebuild full, lasting function

Car Accident Injury questions

I feel okay after my accident. Should I still get checked?

Yes. Whiplash symptoms often show up a day or two later, and early care prevents minor injuries from becoming chronic. A quick exam is worth it even if you feel fine right now.

Do you handle the paperwork for accident claims?

We are glad to coordinate care and provide the documentation your situation calls for. Every claim is a little different, so get in touch and we will walk you through how it works for yours.

How long after a car accident can symptoms appear?

Commonly 24 to 72 hours later, and sometimes longer. Adrenaline and general shock mask pain at the scene, and the inflammatory response to soft-tissue injury builds over the following days. Feeling fine the same evening genuinely tells you very little, which is why we recommend getting checked either way.

Can I have whiplash if the crash was low speed?

Yes. Whiplash requires your head to accelerate faster than your neck can control, and that happens well below the speeds that damage a bumper. Vehicle damage is a poor predictor of occupant injury, and we see plenty of significant neck problems from minor-looking collisions.

Does an insurance claim change what I need to bring?

It changes the paperwork rather than the care. Bring the claim number, the adjuster’s details and any police report, and tell our front desk at booking so it can be set up correctly from the first visit. Contact us and they will tell you exactly what is needed.

Do I need to see a medical doctor as well?

For anything suggesting a fracture, head injury, or internal injury, yes, and immediately. Our first visit includes screening for exactly those, and we refer without hesitation. For the soft-tissue and joint injuries that make up most collision cases, conservative care is the appropriate path.

How long does recovery from a collision take?

Uncomplicated whiplash-type injuries often improve substantially within four to eight weeks with active treatment. Cases left untreated for months are slower, because guarding and lost motion become established. Early, active care produces better outcomes than a collar and waiting.
